Well…summer is here and the pools are being used like crazy. Maintaining the proper balance of water chemistry is vital to the health of your pool. With high bather loads in the swimming season, it is important to be checking your residential pool water at least once a week to ensure a safe environment for your family of swimmers.

Commercial pool service should be done at least twice per week if not three times a week based on usage. A heated swimming pool at an apartment complex or HOA should be serviced three times a week. Swimming pools at gyms or city pools are bodies of water that should be maintained and checked on a daily basis since there are so many swimmers. If lifeguards are on the deck, it is wise to check the water chemistry every half hour to just be sure the levels are acceptable.
